Job Summary
The role
Reporting to the Sales Manager you will play a key role in driving growth through strategic prospecting relationship building and value-based selling. Youll identify new business opportunities develop tailored waste and resource recovery solutions and showcase how WMNZ can help businesses achieve their environmental and sustainability objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Meeting or exceeding new business sales targets and revenue goals
- Proactively sourcing and managing a strong sales pipeline using Salesforce
- Engaging with prospects to understand their challenges and provide tailored solutions
- Preparing and delivering professional proposals quotes and presentations
- Collaborating with Operations and Marketing teams to deliver campaigns and initiatives
- Building strong networks and promoting WMNZs services at events and through lead generation
- Managing the end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity generation through to close
- Providing insights and feedback to support continuous improvement in sales and marketing initiatives
This is a dynamic fast-paced role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities; from identifying market trends to helping customers transition to sustainable waste management practices.
Qualifications :
About you
Youre proactive resourceful and commercially astute. A confident communicator you thrive on connecting with people building trust and creating win-win outcomes. Youre motivated by results and have a genuine passion for sustainability and doing whats right for the planet and our customers.
To be successful in this role youll bring:
- 2 years experience in business development or sales preferably in a service industry
- A proven record of exceeding sales targets
- Strong B2B and value-based selling skills
- Experience with lead generation and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication negotiation and relationship management abilities
- Knowledge or interest in sustainability circular economy and resource recovery desirable
