Job Summary
Job Summary:
Tests computer sub-assemblies and assemblies using pre-set and verified manual semi-automated and automated test stations.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Performs production tests on assembled computers and failure analysis tests on malfunctioning product.
- Assembe industrial computers to Specification.
- Detects and isolates defective products.
- Adjusts realigns and recalibrates equipment & tools to required specifications.
- May assist in troubleshooting repairing and resolving technical problems on assembled products.
- Maintains and updates electronic and/or hard copy records as required.
- Identifies investigates and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures to include various key performance metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Level Specifications:
- Extensive knowledge of the organization job practices and procedures enabling a high level of contribution.
- Completes assignments requiring significant judgment initiative and problem solving skills.
- Prefer being familiar with the installation of common computer operating systems such as Windows and Linux
- Work is performed unde limit guidance and assigned in the form of desired expectations. Independent judgment is used to determine best approach and creativity is expected to achieve maximum results and handle new situations.
- Collaboration with internal or external contacts. May participate on teams for special assignments. Responds to requests from manager internal and/or external contacts.
- Actions may have significant impact to department as well as others. Errors may be difficult to detect and remedy and potentially result in loss of customer business materials money and/or time.
Work Experience:
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience in computer test or other assembled system test.
Education and Certification(s):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Distinguishing Characteristics:
- Willingness to learn good teamwork
