Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a strong Med/Surg background for a 13-week night shift contract in Syracuse NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care while supporting nursing staff in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting and feeding.
Monitor and accurately document vital signs.
Support patient mobility including ambulation and transfers.
Room patients and assist with admissions and discharges as needed.
Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families.
Maintain a clean safe and organized patient environment.
Document patient information in accordance with facility policies.
Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team.
Assist nurses with clinical and non-clinical tasks to ensure continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of CNA experience in a Med/Surg setting.
Active CNA License (New York State).
Current BLS or CPR certification.
Experience taking and documenting vital signs.
Experience rooming patients.
Strong understanding of patient safety and infection control protocols.
