Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Pennington AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing location where you will help manage access control by verifying badges screening visitors and/or deliveries documenting activity and performing routine patrols to support a secure environment. You will stay visible communicate clearly with employees and guests and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification and authorization issuing badges or passes managing visitor check-in and check-out and maintaining access logs.
- Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and foot traffic coordinate with site personnel for deliveries and contractors and report irregularities per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications and documenting events according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings production areas parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
