DescriptionResponsible for the training supervision and direction of Beverage staff to achieve customer satisfaction and quality services while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
Responsibilities- Individual must be a self-starter and finisher on assigned and independent projects.
- Daily monitoring of budgets & labor controls.
- Daily direction of Beverage team to achieve financial and service goals.
- Proactively investigate opportunities to improve service levels and departmental performance.
- Insure the Beverage operations compliance with Scioto Downs policies procedures Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) health and safety regulations including OSHA.
- Conduct ongoing training of existing F&B employees and the training of new employees.
- Beverage Supervisor will work closely with and under the direction of the Beverage Manager/Asst Mgr to ensure proper communication between Beverage department and others.
- Will possess the ability to communicate both verbally and through written documents to staff managers and executive management.
- Will have the ability to recognize operational needs and analyze and facilitate the changes required in a fast paced high volume environment.
- Responsible for supervising bartenders bar backs and beverage servers.
- Monitor Team members performance and deliver commendations and constructive critiques.
- Interviewing and hiring.
- Scheduling and finding replacements for call-off
- Maintaining attendance records.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Will have two years experience in Beverage field.
- Must be available to work long hours and varied shifts as business requires.
- Must possess basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Excel Word Power Point) MICROS or similar POS System.
- Must have excellent communication skills and possess good analytical skills to respond well to any problems that may arise.
- Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy smoke/secondary smoke environment.
- Must be at least 21. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate be able to pass a background investigation. Subject to pre-employment drug screening.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associates Degree in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Management preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend stoop twist reach and kneel repetitively
- Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment
- Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
- Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
