The Role
Youll be the running mate to a team of brokers who are in charge of driving the vehicle - you are the navigator. Your superior research skills resourcefulness and intuitiveness help the broker drive the vehicle along the best path to the finish line. You are a key contributor in executing deal through to settlement which is the lifeblood of the Mountway business. Your skills are always executed in a way that present Mountway as a high quality professional and knowledgeable outfit totally valuable to the client. Your work helps foster our lifelong relationships with customers.
Responsibility
- Working knowledge of the full range of home loan products lender policies underwriting processes & strategy and industry platforms.
- Clear understanding of Australian Mortgage concepts
- Experience with Loan Brokering (Residential/Commercial/Asset)
- Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all data handling documentation and compliance records.
- Proactive communicator with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
- Emotional intelligence intuitiveness
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills - clear concise polite but assertive
- Interpret the brokers discovery meeting notes and internal briefing notes to quickly understand the challenges and requirements of a lending proposal.
- Issue document requests to customers. Follow up requests regularly and keep broker informed. Liaise with customer as documents are produced verifying as required and seeking clarification and further documents where necessary.
- Populate systems and calculators with relevant details from the documents.
- Conduct research into lending solutions for the deal at hand using your own initiative or in conjunction with instructions from the broker. This includes preparing deal briefings for BDMs and liaising directly with them.
- Remotely attend any discovery meeting or strategy session being conducted by the broker as needed if they seek your presence.
- Fill in all required forms and systems to complete a loan application and seek signatures from the customer.
- Liaise with lenders as required after submission undertaking any action needed to progress the deal to approval. Follow up lenders regularly to ensure deals are moving through the lenders system. Liaise with the broker as required for frequency and type of follow up and for challenging situations.
- Update client as loan process continues.
- Continue liaising with lenders and other stakeholders (such as real estate agents settlement agents) after approval. to ensure all conditions are satisfied to progress to settlement.
- Attend to any matter of existing customer maintenance as directed by your broker.
