Description

The Russ Darrow Group is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations supporting multiple dealership locations. This is a great opportunity for a strong leader who enjoys managing processes developing a team and ensuring accurate timely payroll in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings proven payroll experience leadership skills and a high level of accuracy and accountability. This role is well suited for someone who thrives on meeting deadlines solving problems and supporting both employees and management with payroll-related needs.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead a payroll team of 5 employees
Oversee payroll processing for multiple dealership locations ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain employee earnings and deduction records within the payroll system
Assist with audits account reconciliations and payroll-related reporting
Research and respond to employee and manager questions regarding payroll and timekeeping
Monitor payroll schedules compliance requirements and internal controls
Support continuous process improvements within the payroll department

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy leadership and contributing to a collaborative and results-driven management team.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Management experience leading a team of 3 or more employees
35 years of payroll experience
Dealership experience helpful but not required
Experience with Paycom preferred but not required
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
