Fohntech Group are looking for an Material Coordinator to join their team in Belgium.
The Material Coordinator is responsible for managing all project materialsboth company-owned and client-supplied (Free Issue)from receipt through to issuance. This role also involves maintaining site-based tool and plant registers and coordinating with the Tools & Plant (T&P) management team to meet site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive unpack count weigh measure sort identify verify and visually inspect incoming equipment tools and materials.
- Operate a forklift to move stack load or unload materials and equipment.
- Perform clerical tasks including data entry stock checks inventory counts and filing.
- Issue materials in accordance with job orders and project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to proper material receiving procedures at the site.
- Apply correct storage and preservation techniques for all materials.
- Maintain a clean organised and efficient storage environment.
- Provide timely and accurate delivery services from the warehouse to the project site ensuring all documentation is properly recorded.
- Utilise the companys computer systems effectively for warehouse and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures and standards.
- Minimise external hire of transport plant and equipment and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct stock reconciliation and ensure traceability of issued materials.
- Monitor and manage minimum stock levels where applicable.
- Record and account for excess or returned materials from the site.
- Address delivery discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with relevant site personnel.
- Uphold Health Safety & Environment (HSE) standards in line with company policies.
- Maintain quality standards in accordance with the companys Quality Management System.
- Follow detailed instructions and procedures with supervision and resources available as needed.
- Apply standard practices to analyse data and resolve routine issues.
- Organise activities to meet defined schedules within established policies and procedures.
- Problem Solving & Innovation
- Follow the Material Control Plan for assigned projects.
- Identify and resolve routine issues with established solutions.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve teamwork efficiency and quality.
- Perform additional duties as required in line with the roles responsibilities.

Essential Criteria
- Experience in Material Control or Supply Chain within an Engineering Procurement or Construction environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Material Control or Supply Chain systems. (SAP Excel).
- MHE / Forklift licence.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of materials and related terminology.
- Ability to efficiently fulfil field requests using available stock.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration with site teams.
- High attention to detail with strong planning organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive or confidential information appropriately.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn procurement and material control systems.
