We are seeking a high-level self-sufficient Mobile Diesel Mechanic to handle on-site repair calls for various truckingcompanies and owner-operators. This is a 1099 independent contractor position for a technician who can be dispatched to a location and handle the job from start to finish with zero supervision.
âThe Work
âYou will be dispatched to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty trucks on-site. Common calls include:
- âCoolant Systems: Diagnosing and repairing leaks hoses water pumps and radiators.
- âAir Systems: Finding and fixing air leaks and brake system issues.
- âStarting/Charging: Troubleshooting and replacing starters alternators and batteries.
- âDEF/Aftertreatment: Basic diagnostics and sensor issues.
âRequirements
- âEquipment: Must have your own reliablevehicle and a full set of tools for heavy-duty truck repair.
- âIndependence: This is a 1099 role. You must be able to diagnose and execute repairs with minimal to no supervision.
- âExperience: Proven track record with semi-truck and trailer mechanics.
- âReliability: Ability to respond to calls from various companies and represent the dispatch professionally on-site.
