Senior Android Mobile Application Engineer (Kotlin)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Android Mobile Application Engineer to own the ongoing maintenance and platform readiness of a production Android application. The role emphasizes stability compliance and security ensuring the application remains functional and available to existing users.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and maintain an established Android application codebase and architecture.
Remove or disable all inapp subscription and billing workflows including:

New subscriptions
Renewals
Accessextension logic

Ensure uninterrupted usage for existing users without functionality regression.
Maintain compatibility with new Android OS versions and device updates.
Ensure compliance with evolving Google Play Store policies and requirements.
Build validate and publish app updates to the Google Play Store.
Track Android OS beta releases and assess risk to application stability.
Implement only highseverity security patches based on vulnerability impact.
Act as a technical point of contact for Androidspecific maintenance decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

8 years of experience in Android development using Kotlin.
Proven experience supporting and maintaining production Android applications.
Handson experience with Google Play Billing and subscription removal/modification.
Strong understanding of Google Play Store publishing and compliance workflows.
Experience applying security fixes in a controlled minimalchange environment.
Ability to work autonomously with a focus on reliability and risk mitigation.
