Job Summary
Role Overview:
Responsible for the design engineering and execution support of HVDC substation systems ensuring compliance with project specifications industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineering of HVDC Substation systems including converter stations and associated AC/DC equipment.
- Preparation and review of Single Line Diagrams (SLD) layout drawings and engineering documents.
- Engineering of HVDC equipment such as converters transformers smoothing reactors filters and switchgear.
- Development of equipment layouts grounding systems and cable routing for HVDC substations.
- Coordination with OEMs consultants and cross-functional teams for design integration.
- Review and approval of vendor drawings datasheets and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC IEEE and client specifications.
- Preparation of technical reports BOQs and documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of HVDC technology (LCC/VSC systems).
- Experience in substation design (AIS/GIS) and power transmission systems.
- Familiarity with protection & control systems in HVDC substations.
- Understanding of harmonic filters reactive power compensation and insulation coordination.
- Proficiency in engineering tools like AutoCAD ETAP PSCAD or equivalent.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience: 5 - 10 Yrs.

- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
