Responsible (with authority) for all aspects of the Trauma Program at the Facility to include trauma call panel privileges treatment protocols and guidelines service polcies education community outreach hospital executive interface and performance improvement; promotes multidisciplinary approach to care of injured critically ill and emergency surgical patients; leads trauma education at facility.
The Trauma Medical Director is responsible for ensuring the trauma program meets quality performance and accreditation standards while coordinating multidisciplinary care.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching academic research and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
