A Day In The Life:
The Senior Lecithin Business Development Manager is a key member of the emulsifiers this role you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account management plans and processes. This will be accomplished through managing new relationships with key accounts that drive revenue and profitability for the company. You will also plan and implement short and long term sales marketing and product development programs which will result in increased sales volumes and margins by developing the value-added lecithin business with specific responsibility to grow the acquired Solec product lines.
What Youll Be Doing:
Commercial Strategy and Planning
Create implement and regularly update the North American commercial plan (short and long-term) for value added lecithin with direct accountability for financial outcomes and related budget management.
In coordination with marketing and R&D map the market identify trends and drivers regulatory changes competitive environment etc. for the food feed industrial nutraceutical pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries
Develop and manage detailed sales forecasts including volume by product and customer sales price gross margin and gross profit
Review and analyze sales performances against plan. Identify and implement improvement actions
Identify development / training opportunities and needs for self and sales team to better serve the market
Drive continuous improvement in business processes efficiencies and controls within the Foodservice sales team and support improvement across the business
Customer Facing
Create an impactful set of new customers for Bunge lecithin. Prioritize and set individual account strategies to penetrate key accounts and value added lecithin target
Actively develop and manage key account relationships and strategy with customer senior level leaders via regular in person and virtual communication and events
Actively manage an opportunity pipeline including qualifying customers for continual growth of the business and development of projects which ensure capturing maximum share of the customers value added opportunities.
Execution follow-up: Ensure timely shipping and delivery of customer orders
Represent the organization at trade association meetings and industry shows to promote value- added lecithin
Technical
Launches new products / applications in conjunction with R&D product management and marketing
Designs and implements regional lecithin pricing strategy in coordination with product management and pricing team based on competitive pricing analysis
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Technical Marketing or Business (Masters or technical degree a plus)
15 years customer facing experience in the food industry preferably related to value added ingredients
Strategy and marketing development and implementation experience
Strong customer development and relationship management skills
Market intelligence analysis capability to drive specialty ingredients pricing strategies in different industries
Strong communication skills (verbal listening and writing)
Strong organizational skills
Technical knowledge of Lecithin and its applications a plus
