A Brief Overview

The Director of Global DTC Planning & Analysis is a GIE position based in either AAC AEB or AOPplays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and analytical backbone of ASICS Global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. As the DTC organization expands and grows across Retail and eCommerce channels worldwide this role ensures decisions can be anchored in data global best practices are shared and new capabilities are developed.

This leader will identify and build the systems standards and insights that unify global visibility integrating regional performance category trends and consumer behavior into one clear view of the DTC business. By doing so the Director enables senior leaders to make faster smarter and more connected decisions across markets categories functions and channels.

The position is central to advancing how ASICS measures success in DTC evolving from transactional reporting to predictive actionable analytics that guide assortment margin and inventory optimization. Through robust frameworks this role ensures every regional DTC team is operating with aligned KPIs standardized reporting and scalable insights that drive both immediate business outcomes and long-term strategic direction.

What Youll Do

  • Global Reporting Framework & KPI Standardization: Establish a unified global DTC reporting framework integrating Retail and eCommerce data. Define document and deploy standardized KPIs across all regions and channels. Partner with Global Analytics IT and Regional Planning teams to ensure alignment and automation of core reports.
  • Performance Analytics & Insight Generation: Deliver advanced operational analyses that assess sales conversion margin and sell-through performance across categories and regions. Develop product lifecycle assortment productivity and SKU efficiency reporting to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Forecast Inventory & Open-to-Buy Analysis: Evaluate regional forecasts and OTB plans to identify risks upside and optimization levers. Create reporting tools that connect demand supply and merchandising strategies to drive improved inventory efficiency and sell-through.
  • Strategic Decision Support & Scenario Modeling: Lead analytics to inform executive decision-making QBRs Fleet Reviews and long- allocation. range planning. Translate business trends and performance data into forward-looking insights that shape strategic priorities and resource.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement: Partner across functions including Category Marketing IT and Global Analytics to improve data consistency and reporting automation. Provide guidance to regional DTC and Planning teams on best practices tools and cadence.
  • New Business & ROI Analysis: Measure the financial and operational effectiveness of new DTC initiatives store formats and business models. Deliver recommendations on scaling successful pilots and optimizing underperforming concepts.

How Youll Be Successful

  • DTC Business Acumen Deep understanding of Retail and eCommerce business models channel dynamics and the financial levers that drive DTC performance across diverse markets.
  • Advanced Analytical and Reporting Expertise Ability to synthesize large complex datasets into clear insights through dashboards visualization tools and structured storytelling that influence executive decisions.
  • Financial & Planning Rigor Strong grounding in forecasting open-to-buy management inventory analysis and profitability modeling to ensure data translates into commercial impact.
  • System Integration & Data Architecture Awareness Working knowledge of BI tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Looker AFO SAC) and data structures to partner effectively with analytics IT and data engineering teams.
  • KPI Development & Standardization Skilled in designing and deploying consistent metrics and reporting templates that create alignment across channels categories and regions.
  • Strategic Thinking & Scenario Modeling Proven ability to connect data trends to strategic actions using scenario analysis and predictive modeling to guide long-term planning and investment decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Strong partnership mindset capable of influencing without authority and driving alignment across Global Regional and Functional teams (e.g. Merchandising Category Marketing Technology).
  • Communication & Storytelling Exceptional ability to distill complex analysis into clear visual and compelling narratives that resonate with both executive and operational audiences.
  • Leadership & Team Development Demonstrated capability in coaching and developing analytical talent fostering curiosity accountability and continuous improvement within a global function.
  • Agility & Continuous Improvement Orientation Comfortable operating in a fast-paced evolving environment; able to anticipate needs identify process gaps and implement scalable automated solutions that elevate decision-making speed and accuracy.


What Youll Need

  • Bachelors degree in finance Business Economics Data Analytics or equivalent combination of education work experience and training.
  • Masters degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred with emphasis in business administration strategic planning analytics or global operations
  • 10 years of progressive experience in Direct-to-Consumer Retail or eCommerce planning analytics or strategy roles required.
  • Must have 5-7 years of experience working in planning capacity with management of the open-to-buy process for multi-categorical product lines.
  • Proven track record leading global or regional planning and reporting functions within a consumer or branded goods environment.
  • Experience developing and implementing standardized KPI frameworks dashboards and forecasting tools across regions or channels.
  • Demonstrated success in translating complex datasets into strategic business insights and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Prior leadership experience managing a team or function responsible for reporting analytics or business planning.
  • Proficiency in SAP systems (ERP BI or Integrated Business Planning modules) with strong understanding of data structures hierarchies and reporting functionality.
  • Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets (complex formulas pivot tables scenario modeling) and experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Looker).
  • Familiarity with data visualization automation and integration processes between Retail eCommerce and financial systems.
  • Strong command of financial modeling OTB management and margin analysis frameworks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.

SALARY / PAY RANGE: Depends on location. AAC Min: $140000 USD Max: $150000 USD
