Job Purpose and Impact

TheDirector AI Platformsleadsstrategydevelopmentand evolution ofAIplatform capabilities at Cargillwhich serve over 160000 employees globally across all threeenterpriseand role sits at the intersection of business strategy advancedanalyticsand AI engineering. The Director will define the AI platform visionalong with leading a team of engineers to build andoperatethe technical capabilities which enable the build & management of AI solutions that are AI technology leader will be both forward looking and pragmatic pushing innovation while also meeting the business where they aretoward withguiding the organization of where it needs to be next.

Key Accountabilities

    • Defines and owns the AI platform strategy including architecturetechnologies usage patternsand long-termroadmap.
    • Support and enable the design and execution of the AI Roadmap(s)in partnership with AI Leadership Enterprisepartnersand stakeholders.
    • Support theidentificationand definethelevels of AI-Fluency in support of(technical)workforce skills and capabilities in support of tech talent investmentupskillingand development.
    • Lead the design & evolution of scalable AI platforms own technology decisions related to AI services vendors and internal toolingwhileestablishingCargill standards for how AI technology choices are governed
    • Establish the AI guardrails by which we govern technology decisionsand useensuring we embrace AIresponsibly securely and ethically.
    • Enable teams across the organization by providing reusable platformspatternsandexpertiseto aid in accelerated AI adoption.
    • Define a long-termAItechnology strategythat incorporates emerging trends and outlines actionable opportunities to align with business priorities.
    • Partner closely with business and technology leaders tocreate a bridge between business challenges and AI effectiveness.
    • Act as a trusted AI advisor aiding leadersin makinginformed decisions and strategies for AI readiness and application.
    • Ensures financial discipline in artificial intelligence project execution managing teambudgetsand contributing to value creation through cost effective resource management.
    • Manages team members to achieve the organizations goals by ensuring productivity communicating performance expectations creating goal alignment giving and seeking feedback providing coaching measuring progress and holding people accountable supporting employee development recognizing achievement and lessons learned and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

    • Minimumrequirementof6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years ormore ofrelevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience leadingcompanywideGenAI and / or AI platformdesign and operations
    • Practitioner knowledge of AI governancesecurityand regulations
    • Experience buildingenterprise scaleplatformsdeployed
    • Experience managing federated teams and operations

Compensation Data

The expected salary for this position is$145000-$235000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location certifications education and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
