Job Summary

Job Description:
- Lead mechanical design activities including the creation and review of 3D models 2D drawings and bills of materials for commercial vehicle systems
- Manage engineering data within CAD and PLM/PDM systems ensuring accuracy traceability and configuration control
- Collaborate with customers suppliers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver manufacturable compliant design solutions
- Conduct design reviews and ensure designs meet customer regulatory quality and manufacturing standards
- Support product development from concept through production ensuring technical deliverables and project milestones are achieved
- Provide technical support and identify opportunities for design optimisation cost reduction and product improvement
- Minimum 7 years post-graduate experience in mechanical design preferably within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry
- Proven experience in developing mechanical components and assemblies including 3D modelling 2D drawings and bills of materials
- Advanced CAD experience (NX preferred) with strong knowledge of engineering data management systems (PDM/PLM)
- Strong computer literacy including advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with digital and AI-enabled engineering tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Matric
- BEng BSc or BTech degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
