Salary:Up to 33400per annum (dependant on experience) You will also receive 50 per sleep-in when you are required.

Location:Newport

Contract/Hours:Permanent Full-Time 37 hours per week

About the Service

At Ty Ash this is more than just a job; its a chance to be part of something special.

Our established home provides long-term residential placements for up to four children and young people aged 8-18 years old. It is grounded in DDP (Dyadic Developmental Practice) and relational approaches that prioritise emotional safety trust and connection.

We are building a nurturing supportive environment where children can heal grow and thrive.

Our dedicated team specializes in supporting those with neurodiversity and autism spectrum disorder as well as being committed to trauma-informed care.

Our care model is evidence-informed and outcomes-focused placing children and young people at the heart of everything we do.

Our philosophy is to support children through a range of needs including early childhood trauma attachment disorders and dysregulated behaviours.

A bit about the role

Were looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader Residential to join our childrens residential home.

As Team Leader Residential youll work closely with the Registered Manager and deputise in their absence leading a team of Residential Support Workers setting the tone for a positive supportive and child-centred home.

Youll help create a space that feels safe fun and welcoming while consistently maintaining high standards of care and practice.

This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young people enjoys leading and motivating a team and is looking for a career that is both meaningful and return we offer fantastic opportunities for training professional development and clear career progression within a growing organisation.

  • Providing direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care.
  • Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Preparing for and participating in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings
  • Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people.
  • Leading and assessing staff carrying out supervisions appraisals and risk assessments.

Letstalk about you

  • A L3 Social Care Diploma is essential and L4 Leadership and Management Qualification is desirable.
  • Experience of a senior role in a childrens home residential short breaks or childrens services.
  • Experience of supporting staff through QCF AWIF and Induction.
  • A sound awareness of the RISCA (Wales) Act 2016 Social Services (Wales) Act 2014 and key H&S Legislation.
  • Experience or knowledge of working in a therapeutic way is essential for this role

  • Flexibility to work shifts.
