Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Mississauga
Major Responsibility Areas:
- Operate forklift hand truck or other equipment to load unload transport and store goods.
- Assembly of dock lips of various sizes using hand tools
- Assist with inventory to determine optimal stocking levels
- Directing flow or organization of materials products and shipments within warehouse
- Liaise with sister company to ensure seamless operational efficiency
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Promote the companys operational visions values and goals
- Participation in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or his/her designate.
Future Responsibilities:
- Arranges for shipping of outbound freight including documentation and complete systemic transactions
- Maintains schedules for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Responsible for ensuring organization and cleanliness of the warehouse specifically for inventory counts
- Cycle count shop inventory
Qualifications:
- 2 3 Years relevant Experience
- Basic MS Excel skills
- Experience with Inventory/Warehousing module of an ERP system
- Proficiency with Microsoft office Products (Work Excel PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills oral and written.
- Works well under supervision and able to follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Ability to multitask & work under pressure
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
- Experience driving forklift loading and unloading especially large and challenging shipments.
- Requires the ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
Working Conditions:
- Demanding work environment
- Usage of a computer and other office machinery
- Work 6am-2:30p
