Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the Scotia Movil Delivery in Uruguay ensuring specific individual goals plans initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the teams business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships systems and knowledge.

Design and develop new features for native iOS applications (Swift/Objective-C).

Optimize application performance scalability and security.

Integrate applications with APIs and backend services.

Collaborate with designers QA and Product Owners to ensure the best user experience.

Write clean well-documented code including unit and integration tests.

Participate in CI/CD processes and in publishing applications to the App Store.

Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational compliance AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information

Technical Requirements

3 years of experience developing native iOS applications.
Strong knowledge of Swift (Objective-C is a plus).
Experience integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs.
Familiarity with Apple frameworks: UIKit SwiftUI Combine Core Data.
Proficient with version control using Git and experienced in Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have / Preferred

React native
Experience with iOS CI/CD tools (Fastlane App Center Jenkins).
Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks (XCTest Quick/Nimble).
Experience in regulated environments (banking fintech).
Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure environments (Anthos AWS on-premise servers).

Working Conditions

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence
