The Wynn Las Vegas Poker room has 28 tables and provides a friendly welcoming environment for both hotel guests and local clientele.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for interviewing auditioning and hiring qualified staff to maintain appropriate compendium levels.
- Maintain a weekly staff schedule making efficient use of department FTEs.
- Conduct ongoing training and staff performance evaluations.
- Assist the Director of Poker Operations with strategic initiatives including tournament scheduling advertising promotions and social media.
- Maintain and update poker rule book and dealer procedure manual as required.
- Open direct lines of communication with department shift managers to ensure that new rules and procedural changes are implemented quickly and efficiently.
- Facilitate improvements in efficiency between poker and other departments such as accounting and casino cage.
- Coordinate and schedule staff for mandatory company training initiatives.
- Ensure that all staff are up to date with required licenses and certificates.
Qualifications :
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of management experience in Casino or Poker.
- Must possess outstanding organizational interpersonal and administrative skills as well as excellent attention to detail.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Requires a willingness to work beyond the boundaries of an average workday.
- Must be able to work proficiently with deadlines and disciplined to work without constant guidance and supervision.
- Must possess a positive whatever it takes attitude.
- Must have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes concepts and ways of approaching analysis.
- Proficiency in all MS Office systems especially Excel is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required at present or in the future for this position at all times.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
