Monday: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM 12:00 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $24/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for an 8-week contract assignment in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will support both front and back office operations while delivering high-quality patient-centered care. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills EMR proficiency and the ability to collaborate effectively with providers and clinical staff with a focus on health education and preventive care.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily front and back office clinical operations
Greet and room patients; obtain and document vital signs
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
Administer vaccines and assist with EKG and point-of-care (POC) testing
Assist providers during exams and minor procedures
Schedule appointments and manage incoming patient calls
Accurately document patient information in EMR systems
Maintain exam room readiness and ensure smooth clinic workflow
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
23 years of total experience preferred
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
EMR experience required
Experience in both front and back office functions required
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Current BLS or CPR certification required
Strong communication skills attention to detail and computer proficiency
