Job Summary

Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor IV to support KABS and our government customer in Pryor position is covered under the Service Contract Act. We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health dental and vision insurance 401K with company matching paid holidays paid Vacation paid sick leave and Housekeeper Supervisor IV (Environmental Services Supervisor) leads a team responsible for safe effective and patient-centered cleaning and disinfection across inpatient outpatient procedural and support Services: Plans and assign work to subordinates set priorities establish work unit goals and objectives establish work schedules from completion of work for housekeeping with linen supplier to ensure clean linens for CSU. Reconcile monthly tickets/invoice for training with staff to ensure all staff are following infection control orientation for new staff and annual orientation to incumbent staffCommunicate with staff on work assignments and expectations. Communicates with administration on all matters concerning department including employee complaint operational quality checks with infection control/quality personnel Serves on safety and infection control committeesResponsible for ordering supplies and maintaining equipment (vacuum cleaners floor scrubbers etc.)Responsible for contracts for services and role schedules and supervises shift-based operations (24/7) ensures compliance with infection prevention standards supports survey readiness and partners with Nursing Infection Prevention (IP) Facilities and Tribal leadership to maintain a clean healing environment that respects Tribal culture and community to: Support Services/EVS Manager. Manages: Housekeepers/EVS Technicians (multiple shifts) and key vendors. Schedule: Full time; shift work required (days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays) with occasional on-call for outbreaks/surge Responsibilities:People leadership: Hire train coach and evaluate EVS staff; run shift huddles; set daily assignments; manage attendance and performance; foster a respectful safety-first culture aligned with Indian Preference operations: Oversee routine isolation and terminal cleaning of patient rooms; discharge/transfer turnaround; OR/procedural room cleaning per policy; public/common area cleaning; floor care; waste prevention: Enforce isolation precautions and cleaning workflows (e.g. C. diff/Contact Plus); validate cleaning (fluorescent gel/ATP where used); collaborate with IP on audits water events and readiness: Maintain survey-ready documentation (policies training competencies logs audits); support Joint Commission/CMS/IHS/OSHA/EOC rounds and implement corrective & equipment: Ensure proper use of EPA-registered disinfectants dilution systems microfiber UV or adjunct technologies (if used); maintain carts autoscrubbers/burnishers and spare management support: Coordinate with Nursing/Admitting on discharge priorities; meet or beat bed-turnover SLAs and communicate delays/ & risk: Enforce PPE bloodborne pathogen standards sharps awareness hazard communication/SDS access ergonomics and incident & staffing: Build shift schedules and rotations; manage meal/break coverage; approve timecards; coordinate agency/temp staff when & budget stewardship: Oversee linen mat and waste vendors; verify service levels and invoices; support supply forecasting and cost & cultural engagement: Ensure practices respect Tribal customs and spaces; encourage local hiring and skills Qualifications:B.S plus 57 years in a lead or supervisory knowledge of healthcare cleaning/disinfection protocols isolation workflows and terminal with hospital surveys (Joint Commission/CMS) EOC rounding and corrective action supervising multiple shifts and high-priority turnaround (ED PACU OR inpatient).Bilingual or cross-cultural communication skills a plus; experience working with Tribal organizations credentials desired (e.g. CHEST CMIP CHESP or equivalent training).Education:High school diploma or GED required plus 8-10 years of progressive supervisory experience. Associates in management hospitality or related field preferred or equivalent military/technical leadership experience plus 4-6 years of progressive supervisory of hospital-required supervisor and infection prevention training within onboarding & Permits State of Montana (Supervisory Oversight):No state license is typically required to supervise EVS; however the Supervisor must ensure staff training and compliance with hospital policies and applicable rules for:Infectious/regulated medical waste segregation storage and vendor transport safety (SDS access spill response dilution stations) and hazard hazardous materials awareness for staff who prepare or sign off on regulated medical waste shipments (if applicable).On-reservation coordination: Some environmental programs on Tribal lands may be administered by the Tribe or federal agencies; coordinate with Tribal environmental offices and hospital leadership before implementing Skills:EVS/bed-tracking systems (e.g. ADT integration for discharge clean requests) mobile dispatch and basic CMMS use for work with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace for schedules audits and reporting of cleaning validation tools (fluorescent gel checklists; ATP if utilized by the hospital).Timekeeping/scheduling systems and vendor portals for supply and linen Requirements:Healthcare standards: Joint Commission Environment of Care (EC) & Infection Control (IC) CMS CoPs and hospital infection prevention & environmental: OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Hazard Communication PPE ergonomics; hospital/Tribal policies for regulated medical waste and chemical prevention: Isolation cleaning workflows terminal cleaning equipment disinfection hand hygiene support and construction/ICRA coordination with : Staff competencies training records daily/weekly/monthly cleaning logs discharge turnaround metrics audit results and corrective Conditions:Hospital environment on Tribal lands; frequent work in occupied patient care areas with sensitive work required (days/evenings/nights) rotating weekends/holidays; occasional extended hours for outbreaks weather impacts or surge to chemicals biohazards and noise; required use of walking/standing; frequent interaction with patients families and clinical Skills:Leadership & coaching: Clear expectations fair workload assignment real-time feedback recognition and planning: Prioritize discharge cleans; balance routine vs. isolation vs. specialty cleaning; manage cross-coverage between prevention literacy: Applies isolation tiers and product contact times; escalates promptly to IP when : Calm respectful and concise communication with clinicians patients Tribal leadership and the EVS competence: Demonstrates respect for Tribal customs and community solving: Rapidly addresses staffing gaps equipment failures or supply issues with workable interim service: Maintains a hospitality mindset that supports patient experience (e.g. HCAHPS cleanliness domain).Physical Requirements:Frequent standing/walking; repetitive reaching bending and kneeling; pushing/pulling carts up to 75100 lbs; lifting up to 3550 lbs with assistance as PPE (gloves gowns eye/face protection respirators as required) and exposure to cleaning agents and biohazardsAbility to respond quickly across campus including using stairs and navigating confined Expectations & KPIs:Discharge/transfer turnaround time: Meet or exceed SLA targets by shift and quality: 9095% audit pass rate (checklists; fluorescent gel/ATP where used) and timely corrective prevention support: Zero high-risk findings attributable to EVS during EOC/IP rounds; rapid isolation cleaning experience: Upward trend in cleanliness of hospital environment : Zero serious safety events; completion of required safety/IP trainings on health: Stable staffing reduced absenteeism/turnover; completed performance reviews and competencies by due & stewardship: Supplies/linen usage within budget; reduced rework and :Employment may be subject to background checks health screening vaccinations and a valid drivers Preference applies where permissible by law and Tribal Development:Opportunities for professional development and trainingContinuing education support for healthcare-related certificationsOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
