Job Title: Deputy Care Manager
Location: Burgess Hill West Sussex
Salary: From 37507.40 per annum (including night payments & benefits)
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Full time average 42 hours per week on a rolling rota of two days on three days off (any day of the week)
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: Sleep-in duties at the home (room provided) with pay included in the salary
Service: Residential Childrens Home
Service Users: Looked After Children (medium to long-term placements) with complex needs therapeutic support background
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in a residential childcare role within the last 5 years including at least 1 year in a supervisory/management capacity with knowledge of Ofsted standards Child Protection procedures and the Children Act 1989
The Home: Part of a group of nine nurturing childrens homes across Sussex and Surrey providing a non-institutional environment that supports young people towards independence return to family or alternative care settings.
Who we are looking for: A resilient experienced individual able to act as a professional parent and role model; someone with leadership skills to support the Home Manager and lead the staff team while promoting welfare development and safeguarding of children.
