As a Materials Scheduler you would be responsible for ensuring the provision of raw materials in line with system driven demand to meet required delivery dates and the production plan. This is for a fixed-term period only with the successful candidate staring in post as soon as possible with a fixed-term end date of 30th September 2026.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing MRP messages generated by our MRP system.
- Raising and sending purchasing orders from system in line with demand.
- Expediting and deferring orders as needed.
- Placing blanket (stock) orders with suppliers to ensure materials are available for call-off as needed.
- Controlling raw material stock levels to meet planned requirements.
- Communicating to relevant team members any material control issues to minimise plan changes while ensuring remedial action is taken to correct shortfalls against plan.
- Regularly reviewing slow moving stock of raw materials and identify potential issues.
- Working with relevant teams to put together proposals to manage slow moving raw material stock to minimise cost and financial risk.
- Providing transition data in the form of the stock raw materials on hand and at the supply base when products are coming to end of life or are in phase of change.
- Demonstrating remedial action for supplier credits and invoice queries.
- Liaising and informing relevant team members of long-term material requirements.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have relevant experience in a similar environment.
- Good level of literacy numeracy and IT skills including MS Excel and ideally some experience using an MRP system.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and in a timely manner and be able to prioritise.
- You must be a team player with not only your direct team members but the wider business.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong approach to problem solving.
Hours of Work: flexible between 8.00 am - 4.00 pm / 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
