DescriptionTitle:Building Construction Technology Instructor
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. The salary range is low to mid $40000s based on credentials.
Responsibilities:This full-time on-campus faculty position in the Building Construction Technology department will begin with the Fall 2026 semester. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a combination of day evening and online courses. Teaching load is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) which currently requires a workload of 25 contact addition to teaching the faculty member will actively contribute to curriculum development and will also provide academic advising to students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- An associate degree or demonstrated equivalent work history
- 5 years commercial light commercial and/or residential work experience
- Understanding of building science principles
- Working knowledge of ICC codes
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) as well as the ability to read and interpret construction documents
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelors degree
- Experience teaching in a community college or career technical center environment
- Building Analyst Certified Technician or Building Analyst Certified Professional
- OSHA 10 in Construction Instructor certified
