TheAthletics Departmentat Georgia State University is seeking to hire an Assistant Coach for the Volleyball program.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This person will provide direct support to the Head Coach in the overall player development of the student athletes who are members of the Volleyball team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide primary support to the Head Coach in all aspects of academic success coaching strength andconditioning recruiting planning of practice organization of team meetings and film study schedulingand trip management.
  • Assist with budget monitoring. May be solely responsible for aspects of the budget as assigned by the Head Coach.
  • Lead Assistant Coach for any on-court coaching and player development. May develop practice plansand competition schedule in the absence of the Head Coach.
  • Work with campus community and key Athletic Department staff in the successful recruitment andregistration process of student-athletes who are members of the court and sand volleyball teams.
  • Assist in practice set-up and break-down; assist with equipment functionality and inventory control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Required Experience:

Junior IC
