We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of an Associate Director Software Engineering
In this role you will:
- Define and implement engineering standards and best practices across the organization.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee adherence to established engineering practices and governance frameworks.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support to engineering teams in the use of Google Cloud and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor and coach team members in application architecture data management and AI technologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on engineering practices and objectives.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams to promote best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the engineering practice.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve engineering processes tools and methodologies including the use of DORA metrics to assess performance
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including DORA metrics to measure the effectiveness of engineering practices.
- Report on progress and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of X years of experience in software engineering with a focus on engineering practices and governance.
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience in application architecture and data management.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in banking or financial services.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Technical acumen in cloud computing CI/CD pipelines and software development lifecycle.
- Ability to influence and drive change within a complex organizational structure.
- Strong analytical skills to assess engineering practices and recommend improvements.
