Job Summary

Required Education and Experience: Bachelors degree AND:

  • 5 years of related experience including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of student privacy laws
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases
  • Some travel required for recruiting
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate well and build rapport with students faculty and staff
  • Ability to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations
  • Ability to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively

Certifications:

  • Valid Oklahoma Drivers License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time doing work on a computer and via the telephone. Ability to engage in repetitive motions.
  • Environmental: Standard Office exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods. May be required to to work effectively with a wide range of contact with other departments and university officials.

OU Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) works to bring in the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state nation and world. We provide support to incoming domestic and international freshman and transfer students as they navigate the college application and decision process. Additionally we partner with parents counselors and communities in providing resources to students interested in higher goal is to build a vibrant community with limitless potential by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational service involvement and community experiences.

Scope of Position/Essential Duties: This position will work with the OU Office of Admissions and Recruitment and the OU Tulsa team to support the admissions process for students applying to the programs offered on the OU Tulsa Campus. Regular job duties include: managing data and processes in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; supporting recruitment and admission strategy by loading data and resolving duplicates in our CRM system; providing oversight and creating efficiencies for admission and recruitment processes; other duties as assigned.

  • Provides oversight and coordination of the student admissions process. Interacts with departments to develop and maintain an enrollment management system.
  • Maintain knowledge of transfer equivalencies degree audits and advise process development to ensure transfer students are served well.
  • Assists with applying and monitoring academic policy and standards to inform admission processes and policies.
  • Serves as a liaison to the colleges for data information exchange and strategic work.
  • Maintains student administrative records.
  • Serves on committees and performs special projects.
  • Participates in professional development conferences and activities.
  • Retrieves collects reviews and interprets data requests.
  • Creates and prepares reports including data retrievals from different data sources.
  • Produces graphs charts and other documents.
  • Updates and maintains data and databases. Includes loading data sets and resolving duplicates in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Assist with record maintenance between CRM and Student Information System (SIS) to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Meets with various entities to realize new processes for data collection and ensure system efficiencies in all processes.
  • Formulates techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy accuracy and legitimacy of data.
  • Ensures secure storage of data.
  • Mine data to aid in recruitment strategy discussions held by the team coordinating recruitment efforts for programs offered at OU Tulsa campus.
  • Support admissions and recruitment efforts for the Undergraduate programs offered at the OU Tulsa campus.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
