Job Summary:
We are seeking knowledgeable reliable and passionate tutors to join our team. You will work one-on-one with students to support their academic success across a range of subjects tailoring your approach to fit individual learning styles.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic support based on expertise and alignment with the Illinois curriculum standards.
Offer remedial or enrichment instruction based on each students needs.
Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention.
Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to report on student progress and goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for certified teachers subject area experts (e.g. graduate students engineers) and soon-to-be teachers who meet the following criteria:
Energetic and enthusiastic about helping students learn and grow.
Committed to providing exceptional personalized instruction and customer service.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to a wide range of learning styles and students needs.
Professional punctual dependable and organized.
Requirements:
All applicants must hold a Bachelors degree and meet at least one of the following:
Hold a valid Illinois State teaching certificate (or equivalent from another state).
Currently enrolled in a teacher certification program.
Have 2 years of experience teaching in a private public or charter school.
Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university.
Are a Masters or PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at a U.S. university or college.
