Job Description:
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in fish or wildlife management or closely related field or equivalent experience in the field of biological science AND three years experience in fish or wildlife management or a closely related field; OR Masters degree in fish or wildlife management or closely related field or equivalent experience in the field of biological science AND one year experience in fish and wildlife management or a closely related field.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: Extensive knowledge of fisheries and aquatic habitat management principles goals and objectives; fish species; life history and habitat needs; research statistics and record keeping systems; and conservation statutes and regulations as they relate to fisheries management. Ability to communicate effectively; set goals and objectives; perform heavy physical labor and work outdoors for long periods of time; operate and perform maintenance on boats motors fish sampling equipment and electro fishing gear; work with little supervision; develop and maintain professional relations with a broad range of Federal State and local agencies and the general angling public.
