Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Davenport IA 52809
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM 2:30 PM OT 5 8 hrs as needed)
Job Summary
Drives manufacturing process improvement and assembly operations efficiency for Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) production. Works cross-functionally to enhance safety quality delivery and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute manufacturing engineering projects of moderate scope
- Support assembly line operations with process improvements and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production performance
- Lead small to mid-level capital and continuous improvement projects
Core Duties
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes methods and workflows
- Design and validate engineering solutions through testing and analysis
- Establish layouts labor standards and assembly sequences
- Coordinate with suppliers contractors and internal teams
- Monitor quality identify gaps and implement corrective actions
- Support production through real-time troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Maintain compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements
Role-Specific Focus (ADT Assembly)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Safety Quality Delivery Cost)
- Implement process optimization for assembly operations
- Support new technology adoption in manufacturing processes
- Improve ergonomics and cost efficiency on the shop floor
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience with manufacturing processes tooling and maintenance
- Exposure to engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems
- Strong project execution and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication across shop floor and leadership teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial Electrical Manufacturing)
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive improvements
