Architect - Preston
Up to 45000 (dependent on experience)
Aztrum is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected Architectural practice in Preston that is entering an exciting period of growth. With a strong and varied project pipeline this studio delivers thoughtful high-quality design solutions across multiple sectors with a particular strength in technically complex and socially impactful projects.
They are now looking to welcome a talented Architect who is keen to take on greater responsibility contribute meaningfully to live projects and continue developing their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Experience from any sector is welcomed with strong technical ability and design thinking being key.
Key Responsibilities for this Architect role:
- Lead and contribute to design development from concept through to delivery across a range of project sectors
- Produce accurate detailed technical drawings and coordinated construction packages using Revit
- Develop 3D models visualisations and presentation material to clearly communicate design intent
- Prepare and coordinate planning applications building regulations submissions and technical reports
- Work closely with consultants clients and contractors to ensure projects meet design technical and regulatory requirements
- Attend client meetings site visits and project reviews taking an active role in project coordination
- Support junior team members and contribute to a positive collaborative studio culture
- Carry out research into materials regulations and best-practice design approaches relevant to each project
Key Requirements for this Architect role:
- ARB-registered Architect
- Strong proficiency in Revit is essential
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations planning processes and technical detailing
- Experience working across any architectural sector (healthcare experience beneficial but not required)
- Confident communicator with strong presentation and client-facing skills
- A proactive solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Well-organised detail-oriented and motivated to contribute to high-quality design outcomes
