Huntsman is seeking a Sourcing Category Lead MRO Americas supporting the Procurement Division located in The Woodlands TX. This position will report to the Head of Indirect Procurement - Americas.

Job Scope

Huntsmans Procurement is now searching for a new energized self-driven Sourcing Category Lead MRO Americas who under minimum supervision will:

1) Drive Category Management & Sourcing Initiatives for MRO in the Americas.

2) Support Sourcing initiatives of other Indirect categories as needed.

3) Follow established Procurement policies and procedures to optimize overall value for Huntsman.

In summary as the Sourcing Category Lead MRO Americas you will:

CATEGORY MANAGEMENT. Support the Head of Indirect Procurement - Americas to implement and manage the Category Strategy for MRO as well as other assigned indirect categories for the Americas region through the 7 steps of the Strategic Sourcing Methodology adopted by Huntsman.

CATEGORY SOURCING. Support the Head of Indirect Procurement - Americas by collecting and analyzing the business requirements key cost drivers supplier capabilities and industry trends to develop and implement category sourcing strategies that will optimize overall value for Huntsman while ensuring supply and quality.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across the Americas region to ensure business alignment with the category sourcing strategies and ensure continuous improvement of supplier performance.

NEGOTIATION. Negotiate supply agreements and contracts within the mandate and in line with internal procedures terms and conditions expected service levels quality requirements and financial conditions.

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT. Create supply agreements in line with legal guidelines. Ensure supplier contracts are approved stored and maintained according to internal procedures.

SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT. Under the general supervision of the Head of Indirect Procurement - Americas lead the development and implementation of the Supplier Relationship Management program for the assigned Indirect Categories to develop and grow relationships between new and existing key suppliers and key business stakeholders to ensure long-term value for Huntsman.

COMPLIANCE. Understand and adhere to the organizations policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct. Ensure that goods and services are supplied on time on specification from approved sources and in compliance with all relevant regulations and internal requirements.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. Continuously develop skills and capabilities by participating in formal and informal training seeking out coaching and mentoring support and by developing industry understanding of technology best practices and regulation.

ORGANIZATIONAL INTEGRATION. Support integration and collaborative savings delivery from a Purchasing perspective related to Huntsman Merger & Acquisition activities.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Supply Chain Business Finance or related field preferred.
• 5 years of related industry experience is strongly preferred.

Skills and knowledge

• Requisite enthusiasm and professionalism for representing Huntsman externally and in negotiations with suppliers.
• Direct people management not required but proven ability to work in teams is required.
• Understand and use key financial indicators (TCO EBITDA ROI payment terms saving measures mark-up setting etc.) to help make better business decisions.
• Advanced knowledge of multi-task computer operation in a Windows environment particularly Windows-based PC systems emphasizing Excel (i.e. pivot tables vlookups graphs) and related analytical tools (i.e. PowerBI) and PowerPoint proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
• Experience negotiating global and regional contracts is strongly preferred.
• Masters degree a plus.
• C.P.M. CPSM CPSD CPCM CSCP CPIM CLTD or CCCM certifications strongly preferred. Other related certifications are a plus.
• Experience/knowledge related to purchasing Indirect Categories (MRO CAPEX Facility Services Maintenance and others) in petrochemical or heavy industrial settings is preferred ideally in an international environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Ariba strongly preferred.
• Experience implementing TCO initiatives such as vendor-managed inventory consignment buy-back programs supply base rationalization and SKU optimization managing punch-out catalogues sustainability initiatives and summary invoicing.

Working Environment

• Hybrid work environment: 4 days office / 1 day home
• Ability to travel on a regular basis up to 20% including international locations.
