The Green Light Trust is looking for a Wellbeing in Nature Facilitator.
Main purpose of the role:
as a Wellbeing in Nature Facilitator youll work directly with participants (vulnerable children young people and adults) helping them develop new skills build confidence and overcome personal barrier all through the power of nature
our Wellbeing in Nature Facilitators are part of the Operations Team and report to the Operations Managers.
The job will entail:
this varied and rewarding role combines delivery participant support and administrative responsibilities
youll work with individuals and groups of all ages and abilities tailoring activities to meet their unique needs from supporting mental health to fostering skills for independence
we need to highlight that this role is physically and emotionally demanding youll be working outdoors all year round facing various weather conditions and changes in routines
you will also need to transport tools water and equipment in all weather
our participants come to us for support with often very challenging personal circumstances.
The role offers a profound sense of fulfilment as you help participants achieve personal growth but it isnt an easy job.
Your responsibilities:
participant support and delivery of woodland activities
safeguarding and wellbeing
administrative responsibilities
team collaboration and logistics.
What you will need:
a positive patient and approachable demeanour with the ability to build trust and motivate others. Someone who is kind creative and passionate about making a difference in peoples lives
strong interpersonal communication skills with participants colleagues and external partners
confidence in planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to participant needs. Youll need to be organised as your sessions include preparing and cooking lunch taking end of day reflections etc. Youll need to thrive in a flexible ever-changing environment and ready to adapt to the needs of the participants and the team
proficiency in using IT tools including Microsoft Office and managing participant data in a CRM system
commitment to safeguarding with an understanding of maintaining professional boundaries.
