DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Customer Service Representative II where youll contribute to our mission to make the world healthier cleaner and this position youll provide excellent customer support throughout the service lifecycle from initial contact through order fulfillment. Working in our collaborative environment youll handle customer inquiries process orders manage quotations and maintain customer data while working with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding results. Youll serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external customers demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Using various ERP and CRM systems youll process orders track shipments resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-up. As part of our customer-focused team youll contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives while upholding our core values of Integrity Intensity Innovation and Involvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process and follow up all written/web orders within the divisions guidelines liaise with other functions (sales warehouse finance customer facing teametc) to resolve issues and ensure timely handling of requests with senior support if vital

Initiate creation/modification of customer accounts in co-operation with data maintenance and quote maintenance teams

Follow-up order process from order entry until order fulfilment including checking Hold stop codes on a regular basis

Become knowledgeable in the Customer Relationship Management systems

Adhere to company policies operational regulation and departmental training guidelines

Meet daily/weekly targets

Work on assignments/projects on ad-hoc basis

REQUIREMENTS:

Fluent English and intermediate German language skills are required

Minimum 1 year of customer service experience particularly in SSC/multinational environment preferred but not essential
Government Body award or equivalent certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European language proficiency highly valued
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) beneficial but not required - training provided
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
Collaborative with positive attitude and exceptional teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative in routine tasks
Professional judgment and diplomacy in handling customer interactions
Experience using CRM systems and customer service software preferred
Ability to adapt to new processes and technologies
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
Flexibility to participate in cross-training and support activities as needed
