Advanced Software Engineer Communication, Navigation and Surveillance

We have an opportunity for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join us at Honeywell Aerospace in Krakow. You will help create breakthrough innovations that will ensure Honeywells leadership position and take a technical leadership role in creating system solutions for the CNS (Communication Navigation and Surveillance) team that will meet the long-term evolving needs of our customers.

This is a hybrid role 3 days at the office 2 days work from home model.

• Contribute to project planningby providing time estimates tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery of technical tasks.
• Develop and maintain embedded/application software(C C C# MATLAB) including requirements architecture coding debugging and troubleshooting.
• Design and execute tests including test cases procedures scripts and both informal and formal test runs.
• Support documentation and certificationefforts ensuring compliance with relevant standards and processes.
• Drive innovationby identifying and exploring new technologies to enable continuous improvement and performance gains.

• University education with major in Software Engineering Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• 5 years working experience as Embedded software developer/ engineer ability to code and perform code review in C plus plus. Experience or knowledge of airborne surveillance functions (TCAS Transponder UAT) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of software development processes and best practices experience with defining software architecture
• Knowledge of software configuration and change management practices with DOORS and Atlassian in communication via ethernet.
• Any of the below is a huge advantage: knowledge of commercial airborne standards including RTCA DO-178B scripting languages (e.g. Perl Python)
• Excellent command of English language
