Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Overnight Patrol in New Orleans LA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service document observations and provide professional customer service and clear communication to tenants visitors and staff. An armed guard card/license is required. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants visitors and property staff by following site-specific procedures access control requirements and security-related protocols and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of common areas lobbies stairwells parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and coordinating with property management and/or emergency services as directed.
- Monitor and report unusual conditions such as unsecured doors trespassing loitering property damage and/or hazardous conditions and submit clear written reports and incident documentation.
- Carry and handle authorized duty equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies comply with all licensing requirements and maintain professional communication and appearance while on post.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
