Position Summary: The ESY Speech Therapist provides targeted speech and language services to students with disabilities as prescribed in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The primary objective is to support the maintenance of academic social and functional communication skills during the summer session to ensure a successful transition back to the regular school Responsibilities:Service Delivery: Provide direct individual or small-group therapy sessions focusing on articulation language processing fluency voice and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) as outlined in the ESY Section of the Maintenance: Implement therapeutic activities specifically designed to prevent regression of communication benchmarks achieved during the regular school Collection & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily service logs and collect objective data on student progress; prepare a concise ESY Progress Report for each student at the conclusion of the : Consult with ESY classroom teachers and Ed Techs to integrate communication supports into daily summer activities and provide guidance on assistive technology or feeding protocols if Communication: Maintain professional contact with families regarding student attendance engagement and progress during the summer :Valid Maine Department of Education Certification (093 - Speech & Language Clinician) and State of Maine with a diverse range of student needs including autism developmental delays and complex communication profiles.
