Job Description
As a Security Officer Flex Armed Patrol in BUFFALO NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Learn more: As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy parking and vehicle access location you will conduct routine patrols throughout ramps entrances and surrounding areas staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and reports document activity and communicate clearly with motorists employees and local responders. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors and tenants at an auto parking facility by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout parking levels stairwells entrances pay stations and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
- Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with onsite personnel and/or public responders as needed.
- Control access to restricted areas verify credentials when required monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow and help to address parking disputes and/or rule violations in accordance with post orders.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearms and related equipment in compliance with licensing requirements and Allied Universal policies and complete detailed written reports and/or logs of patrols incidents and corrective actions taken.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
