The Role
The Premises Assistant will support the daily operational management of the academy site ensuring that buildings and grounds are maintained safely and efficiently. Working under the guidance of the Site Manager you will help create a secure and welcoming environment for staff students and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
Opening and closing the site according to school procedures
Assisting with routine maintenance and minor repairs
Supporting health and safety compliance checks
Preparing rooms for lessons exams and events
Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
Helping with contractor supervision and deliveries
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in facilities maintenance or caretaking (desirable)
Basic DIY and repair skills
Good understanding of health and safety procedures
Reliable organised and proactive
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Commitment to safeguarding and site security
