Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional non-functional and compliance requirements and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Global Banking and CRM Technology (GBCT) seeks an Data Analytics Platform Governance & Operations Software Engineer III role to will play a key role in supporting GBAZ foundational capabilities ensuring stable production operations (L3) and driving tenant governance activities across the platform. This role requires strong technical depth ownership mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering operations and business partners across Enterprise Credit business partners and other Credit technology groups in Global Banking Data Analytics and Reporting (GBDART) organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs develops and modifies architecture components application interfaces and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement definition of requirements and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs develops and maintains automated test suites (integration regression performance)
  • Provide technical support for core GBAZ platform components ensuring reliability resiliency and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Support onboarding activities for new tenants including environment setup access governance configuration validation and operational readiness.
  • Partner with engineering teams to analyze platform issues identify root causes and implement permanent fixes.
  • Contribute to platform maturity by enhancing monitoring automation and operational tooling.
  • L3 production support including off-hours support when needed
  • Design and implementation of low-latency high-availability and performant applications
  • Serve as the Level 3 escalation point for production issues impacting GBAZ tenants and Credit Sync-related workloads.
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex incidents involving data pipelines integrated services and cloud-based components.
  • Review incident patterns and implement preventative solutions through engineering improvements.
  • Maintain runbooks operational procedures and knowledge base documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of software development / monitoring experience on large complex systems - preferably financial domain
  • 5 years of experience in Data Applications (Oracle Hadoop)
  • Familiarity with operational tools such as AppDynamics Dynatrace Splunk PPM Jira or internal equivalents.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools logging frameworks and incident management processes.
  • Experience using relational database and SQL skills
  • Ability to perform complex rootcause analysis and drive technical solutions endtoend
