Job Summary

Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit a Jetting/ Vanpack Engineer to join our growing depot network based out of our Bristol Depot.


The job:

You will be working as part of a two-person team working witha Drainage Assistant to operate our high specification Jet/ Vac and CCTV units. Your projects will include any number of drainage related issues both reactive and planned.


Although you start at the depot you been appointed to you will be mobile in a vehicle attending to all work activities within various work sectors including industrial rail utility commercial residential.


Working Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Being flexible is important as you may be required to start earlier due to travel.


Desirable Qualities:


You may already have previous experience working in the drainage or water industry but this is not essential as full training will be given


You can become a successful Utilities Waste-Water Technician if you haveproblem-solving listening critical thinking teamworking abilities and a customer focussed approach.Also as you need to operate machinery excellent hand-eye coordination and concentration are essential skills.


The following skills are also useful:


  • Competent in using an electronic device laptop / tablet for data entry.
  • You must possess a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • An in date CSCS would be advantageous however this could be obtained is necessary


To work in the Utilities industry you may have to compete with inclement weather outdoors. Protective clothing such as a hi-vis jacket boots and a helmet are mandatory requirements and you may be asked to travel to different sites. The workday starts early especially during the summer when there is light in the morning but drains can be blocked at any hour of the day and emergency assistant can often be needed.


You will be expected to comply with all Group Health Safety and Environmental compliance full Training with be provided as part of a Group Induction Training package.

This is a full time position with overtime potential; regular training (including our own City & Guilds qualifications)
