Position Summary: The ESY Educational Technician provides direct support to students with disabilities to ensure the successful implementation of their IEP maintenance goals. Working under the direct supervision of the ESY Teacher the Ed Tech assists in delivering specially designed instruction facilitating social-emotional regulation and ensuring the safety and inclusion of all students during the summer Responsibilities:Instructional Support: Deliver small-group or one-on-one reinforcement of skills in literacy math and functional life skills as prescribed by the ESY & Emotional Regulation: Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and use proactive strategies to support students who may experience dysregulation due to the change in routine or Recording: Consistently record objective data on student performance regarding ESY benchmarks (e.g. Student maintained 80% accuracy in two-digit addition without prompts).Personal Care & ADLs: Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting feeding and mobility as required by the students individual needs and safety Support: Assist in the preparation of modified materials sensory tools and the organization of the classroom to ensure a structured and predictable :Maine Department of Education Authorization: Must hold a valid Ed Tech I II or III authorization (based on credits and experience).Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) approval through the Maine working with students with diverse learning needs including autism ADHD and developmental to remain calm and flexible in a fast-paced high-needs environment.
