Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Abilene TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support store teams and guests with strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Join a team that is agile reliable innovative people-first and driven by integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to customers tenants and/or staff while following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location including sales floor areas entrances loading areas parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to alarms disturbances suspicious activity and/or other incidents in a calm problem-solving manner and coordinate with site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Carry and handle authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements post orders and Allied Universal policies including conducting required checks and maintaining secure control of assigned equipment.
- Complete security-related reports incident documentation and daily activity logs and communicate observations and/or concerns to supervisors and site contacts in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have 3 years of combined law enforcement corrections and/or military experience or 5 years of armed security experience.
- Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
