  • Drive EHSQ Excellence Culture and Improvements for the Okmulgee Plant.

  • Participate in Develop/Design Policies and Procedures and Best Practices.

  • Participate in establishing EHS Goals and Objectives for the Okmulgee Plant.

J2E Element #2 Owner Administration & Planning

  • Responsible for managing Element 2 of EHS management system.

  • Drive development and improvement of all E2 requirements.

As a member of the Management Team incumbent shares overall responsibility for:

  • Leading modelling and area accountability of adherence to global / local EHSQ Policy and Procedures.

  • Setting objectives and targets for EHSQ performance and improvement.

  • Assigning responsibility and authority for EHSQ implementation activities.

  • Providing the adequate resources needed to implement the policy.

  • Ensuring knowledge and skills are developed to effectively apply the EHS systems and standards.

  • Reviewing the EHSQ system to ensure its continuing suitability adequacy effectiveness.

  • Actively communicating leadership and commitment that is visible to the organization.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the plant manager theSenior Manufacturing Manageris a key member of the plant leadership team and will serve as the key link to ensure the mostappropriate resourcesare engaged in problem resolution in collaboration with all areas of the the absence of specific direction theSenior Manufacturing Managerhas theresponsibility for developing a game plan to avoid or overcome position may berequiredto periodically work off scheduled hoursnightsor weekends to complete critical hours interaction with plant site or vendors may be requiredutilizingemail phone text etc.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the fundamental functions and responsibilities of the job as defined below:

  • The Senior Manufacturing Manager will provide guidance and technical direction for Biogums production in all production areas including Utilities and Wastewater Treatment with strong alignment with Maintenance Project Management and Process Optimization Teams to ensure successful operation of the plant.

  • Responsibility for establishing and meeting production schedules standardization of process operations reduction of costs maintenance of equipment and facilities troubleshooting team development and promotion and adherence to all Safety Health Environment Food Safety and GMP of all areas of the plant and team members.

  • The key component in delivery of plant goals and objectives including corporate level objectives.

  • Identifies and implements process improvements which result in higher throughput improved efficiency recognizable cost savings and more consistent product quality while maintaining environmental compliance and a safe work environment for all site personnel.

  • Directs the daily activities of all areas of operations through verbal and written instructions to Engineers Team Leaders Area Supervisors and Operators.

  • Utilizes technical background and experience to implement changes to the process equipment or procedures leading to improved rates operating efficiencies and product quality.

  • Provides operational leadership and is involved with plant productivity improvement teams.

  • Responsible for safe operation of production equipment assures that the area operates within Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO standards; assures that good housekeeping standards are established and maintained.

  • Responsible for the resolution of operating problems and process upsets. Utilizes line management and technical staff to restore processing to expected performance levels.

  • Works with Quality Control Process Optimization and other teams in resolving product quality problems.

  • Establishes priorities and directs the efforts of the manufacturing teams toward accomplishing the cost reduction objectives of the Plant.

  • Operates in compliance with all local state and federal regulatory agencies. Keeps up to date on all regulations governing the quality of products Good Manufacturing Procedures the condition of the work area and process equipment and the effect upon the environment of discharges from various processes. Works with the Plant Engineers Quality Control Manager and Environmental Manager in preparing responses to requests from the regulatory agencies.

  • Responsible for protecting all proprietary information and property against loss of any kind. This includes but is not limited to confidential reports and memos process and product knowledge equipment and research methodology.

  • Responsibilities may include additional assignments such as special cost studies analysis of work assignments college recruiting interviewing of potential employees and planning both short and long range for the effective use of personnel and equipment. Reviews and/or initiates process and equipment changes under management of change procedures.

  • Works with business teams as required to provide manufacturing input into marketing and general business decisions involving manufacturing

  • Participates in special assignments as requested such as conducting cost studies planning for short- and long-range use of equipment and personnel and assisting other areas of the Plant in troubleshooting operating problems.

  • Acts on behalf of the Plant Manager in the Managers absence on matters where precedence or policy have been established seeking advice at higher management levels as needed before providing a decision.

  • Reviews and gathers data to prepare production reports including internal and external reports.

  • Collaborates closely with Human Resources to ensure operational people decisions reflect key peoples metricsincluding employee relations trends engagement levels turnover data staffing stability and workforce planning needs.

  • Integrates HR insights into daily operations and longterm strategies to support a positive workplace culture retain talent and maintain a highperforming team.

  • Participates as a member of the Strategic Team to assist in the development of long range plant goals and strategies.

  • Administers company and personnel policies and is responsible for the development of all the subordinates in the department. Initiates all personnel actions including salary actions promotions disciplinary actions separations etc. Responsible for the development of area succession plans.

  • Reviews and provides comments on all engineering estimates for repair or modification of existing equipment and installation of new facilities. Works closely with all engineering areas to ensure that equipment modifications are installed safely and efficiently.

  • Fully supports and aligns with the companies the long-term goals and core values.

Education Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry Biology Microbiology or Engineering preferred. Other degrees will be considered with demonstrated manufacturing experience.

  • 10 years of technical experience preferred

  • 5 years production management and supervisory experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of FDA OSHA and EPA regulations GMP and HAACP.

  • Ability to effectively communicate (written verbal presentation skills) at multiple levels.

  • Proven experience in creating a culture of accountability and creating a high-performance culture while utilizing HOP principles.

  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Access)

  • Demonstrated team building leadership employee development and conflict resolution skills.

  • Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience is preferred

  • Working knowledge of SAP is preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership in driving a high personal safety culture Safety training BBS Audits etc.
