Project/Department Description and Responsibilities
The Lead SAFe 6.0 Implementation Consultant will support the organization in transitioning to a Lean-Agile enterprise model through the structured implementation of SAFe 6.0. Acting as the primary authority on SAFe transformation the consultant will guide strategy alignment operational execution and IT delivery integration. The role is embedded within a transformation-focused environment supported by a team of experienced Agile specialists and will collaborate with executive leadership Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and internal transformation teams to ensure a sustainable and effective adoption of SAFe principles and practices.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAFe 6.0 across the organization.
- Design maintain and execute a transformation roadmap aligned with strategic business priorities.
- Coach and mentor executive leadership senior management and ARTs in SAFe practices and Lean-Agile mindsets.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders ensuring alignment between business strategy and delivery execution.
- Drive robust stakeholder engagement and proactive stakeholder management throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- Facilitate alignment between operational/business demand functions and IT delivery teams.
- Establish and support Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) practices where relevant.
- Guide value stream identification and support ART launch preparation and execution.
- Ensure sustainable adoption and long-term integration of SAFe principles beyond initial rollout.
- Define transformation success metrics actively measure progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaborate closely with internal Agile coaches specialists and transformation leaders to ensure consistent and integrated delivery.
Methodology/Certification Requirements
- Certified SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) - mandatory.
- Deep practical experience in leading SAFe 6.0 implementations.
- Proven experience driving large-scale Agile and Lean transformations.
- Strong understanding of Lean Portfolio Management enterprise governance and modern funding models.
Technical Profile Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience applying SAFe 6.0 in complex organizational structures.
- Strong experience coaching ARTs value streams and senior leadership teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean-Agile practices Agile coaching facilitation and organizational change management.
- Experience bridging business-side strategic/operational demand with IT delivery frameworks and execution models.
- Ability to translate enterprise strategy into portfolio program and team-level operating models.
