Role Description

This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) Arcadis centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC is made up of more than 3000 talented individuals working in offices across India Romania and Philippines providing Capability Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services in collaboration with our global businesses.

The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer specializes in the design development and inspecting of Instrumentation & Controls equipment components or systems for life-science biopharmaceutical and/or microelectronics/semiconductor facilities. Studies new technologies and research innovative solutions and product designs. The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer works on advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.

Your role will include but is not limited to:

• Review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in conjunction with Process and Mechanical Engineers.
• Develop Instrument Index I/O List Instrument and automated valve data sheets.
• Experience in technical bid evaluation interaction with vendor and vendor drawings review.
• Interact and coordinate with interdisciplinary design team members to ensure efficient and effective I&C interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
• Review and guide designers for 2D and 3D design drawings in accordance with project requirements codes specifications and procedures.
• Participate in multi-discipline coordination & clash checking efforts.
• Support by active participation corporate and adhere to discipline-specific procedures and policies.
• Contribute to the development of the Discipline knowledge base and standards.
• Perform self QA/QC on deliverables as well as on deliverables by other engineers.
• Performs the tasks within the agreed-upon budget and schedule.
• Should be a team player and perform tasks individually when required.
• Follow company standards and procedures including design and QA checking.
• Assist I&C lead engineer on various engineering deliverables and activities.
• Prepare Cable schedule MTO. Guide designer in preparing Hook up installation drawings location and cable routing layouts etc.
• Experience in HVAC Instrumentation and control Building management system (BMS) Qualified BMS. Environmental monitoring system (EMS) will be added advantage.

Qualifications and Skillset:

• Bachelors degree in Instrumentation or related field.
• 4 to 8 years of I&C and Automation design experience in Process industries.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical life science industries are preferred.
• Familiarization with norms and standards related to Instrumentation engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word Excel and MS Project).
• Technical and quality focus.
• Good planning organizational and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
