Job Summary

General Purpose:

Responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost quality and delivery improvements in order to support a PCBA manufacturing organization.

Principle Accountabilities:

Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability (dfx study)

Prepare justification purchase and implement capital equipment for production

Oversee new process equipment production

Establish robust repeatable and reproducible process parameters

Trouble shoot process related issues

Participate to activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements

Evaluate and select various engineered materials

Implement statistical process reviews on new and existing products

Implement safety productivity and yield improvements.

Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.

Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities

Develop and maintain process documentation

Review processing methods

Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer

Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer

Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.

Manage cost improvement/reduction programs

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.

Typically requires 4 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area

Demonstrates advanced operations technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business. Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
