Job Title: Slitter Operator Steel Manufacturing WarehouseLocation: Downriver MI (Flat Rock Riverview Gibraltar)Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Slitter Operator to lead a team in our steel manufacturing warehouse. The Team Lead will oversee slitter operations ensure safety standards are met and maintain product quality. This role requires strong leadership technical expertise and excellent communication skills to support efficient operations and a collaborative work Responsibilities:Operate the slitter machine effectively and efficiently while prioritizing safety for yourself and team as the Team Lead for your shift ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety and quality your team consistently:Maintains a clean hazard-free measurement tools daily for of scrap trash and other materials in proper and updates work instruction operational audits as work orders to ensure all requirements including material size and customer specifications are material quality during job runs identifying and addressing defects and upload pictures into the system for quality control and record-keeping during Requirements:Proficiency in reading tape measures and converting decimals to computer skills for data entry and system communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented attention to detail for maintaining quality and identifying defects in working with heavy machinery in a manufacturing environment.
