About Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer with 5 years of experience to design and build scalable reliable and high-performance data systems. You will play a key role in building data pipelines improving metadata integration and ensuring high-quality discoverable data across the platform.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize batch and streaming data processing systems
- Ensure data quality observability and reliability across pipelines
- Integrate data platforms with metadata lineage and governance systems
- Optimize performance scalability and cost of data infrastructure
- Troubleshoot production data issues and implement long-term fixes
- Collaborate with Product Platform and Analytics teams to deliver data solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python / Java
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow / Dagster
- Strong experience with Spark / Kafka / Flink or similar processing frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake BigQuery or Redshift
- Solid understanding of metadata lineage and data governance concepts
- Strong debugging performance tuning and system design skills
- Experience in building data platforms or internal data tooling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with DataHub or metadata platforms
- Experience in distributed systems and large-scale data architecture
- Exposure to open-source data ecosystem
